From being an emerging market a decade ago to becoming the world's fifth largest economy today, India has attracted the attention of the entire world. The 'Make in India' mission launched by the Government of India with the objective of promoting and encouraging domestic production in various sectors has proved to be a huge step in this direction. The objective of this mission is to create favorable conditions for business in the country by simplifying the rules and procedures, thereby making it easier to do business in the country.

Special emphasis is being laid on skill development and vocational training programs under the ‘Make in India’ mission to enhance the capabilities of human resources and make them employable in the manufacturing sector. Along with this, the Government of India has started another campaign named 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' with the aim of making the country self-reliant in various sectors, the aim of which is to reduce the country's dependence on imports on one hand by promoting domestic manufacturing and on the other hand to promote indigenous manufacturing. Along with making India self-reliant by promoting industries, exports have to be increased.

M.S.M.E. (Micro, Small and Medium Industries) have always played an important role in the manufacturing sector of the country. Considering the contribution of these industries in the country's economy, many steps have been taken to strengthen this sector. The campaign launched under the name 'Vocal For Local' is an important step in this direction, under which citizens are encouraged to give priority to local products and services. Today, products manufactured in India are making their presence felt in the stores of many countries, but the day is not far when famous foreign brands will also be produced in India.

Today the Government of India is taking all the steps towards making the country the production center of the world like providing financial assistance, giving concessions or exemptions in taxes, simplification of rules, introduction of foreign technology and machines for quality improvement and qualitative increase of products. Helping in imports, providing various types of subsidies as well as organizing trade shows and arranging assistance and facilities for them, etc.

Taking its efforts forward, 'Steel Market Info' is going to organize '14th Indian Houseware Show 2024' in Bengaluru city of Karnataka on 6-7-8 July in the new year. “Steel Market Info” strongly believes that the coming times are a golden time for the Indian houseware industry. The day is not far when India will become the houseware production center of the world. Entering the new year with this positive thinking, we wish all the readers a very Happy New Year.
